Excellent restaurant with outstanding staff. However, I am disappointed in the removal of their traditional rolled enchiladas. I don’t recommend the stacked version they now sell. I also miss their excellent cobb salad. Otherwise, an outstanding choice which I highly recommended. View all feedback.
What MarkC doesn't like about Old Blinking Light:
We had two people in our party that had dietary restrictions and based our decision on eating at OBL on their online menu. The actual menu didn't include the dishes that helped us decide to dine there. The Brussel sprouts were not up to par. Just the outer leaves. They were not very busy and service was a bit slow. I ate here the night before Thanksgiving with family who were in from out of town. The restaurant has a modern feel, but also a sense of coziness (for example, fires burning both inside and out on a very chilly night makes for a comfy feel). As it was rather late by the time we ordered, we did not order any appetizers. The wine selection was above average, both for bottles and glasses. I drank a glass of the house Pinot Grigio, followed by a glass of Cabernet with my dinner. Speaking of which, there were several entrees that looked and tasted good. I ordered the Poblano Relleno with Risotto, Spanish Paprika, and Ratatouille with Tomato Buerre Blanc. A delicious meal, though I thought the Relleno could have used a bit more of a kick (however, others at the table thought it was either just right, or a bit spicy, so take my observation with a grain of salt). The service was excellent all around. The restaurant is a bit pricier than I expected, though not in the exhorbitant range (if you are drinking, be prepared to pay). Overall, a good time was had by all!
I eat at the Old Blinking Light at least once a week. Not only do they have a great menu, for lunch and for dinner, but they have an incredibly friendly staff. They also have a great patio which is comfortable in the summer keeping you cool with misters and in the winter keeping you warm with the large fire pit, overhead heating and blankets. I would most defiantly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys a great dining experience.

The Old Blinking Light originated in Taos, New Mexico as part of a fine dining group of restaurants and it's location was a must visit destination on the way to Taos Ski Valley. Located in Highlands Ranch, the owners brought the vibe from Taos to Colorado. Over the years the staff has changed but the Taos vibe never wavered as the previous owner/chef of Joseph's Table in Taos took over the reins in Highlands Ranch. Summary, great vibe, exceptional menu choices and happy hour food and drink options.
Good place to meet...food has some good selections, but salads are not up a high standard...
