Te Te Peruvian - Highland Park

We decided to give Tete's a try for the first time, despite being discouraged by negative reviews. It seems like those people may have mistaken it for another restaurant. The food was fantastic, the staff was very welcoming, and our meals were served promptly. Additionally, there was a wonderful jazz band playing during dinner. We will absolutely be returning in the future!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in a neighborhood filled with chain restaurants and 24-hour diners. Despite its location in a busy area of route 1, I always leave happy whenever I visit. The staff is friendly, the wait times are minimal, and the food is absolutely delicious. The weekends are especially busy as they specialize in breakfast and brunch, so be prepared to wait a little bit - but it's definitely worth it! The portions are generous and each person gets their own carafe of tea, water, or coffee so you don't have to constantly ask for refills. During my last visit, I took my mother and sisters for breakfast. Even though two of them had never been before, they both became instant fans of the restaurant!
