Amazing food and stunning views - a must-visit for anyone heading towards Fort William. Simply take the Corran ferry and you'll find the Inn waiting for you on the other side. View all feedback.
Food excellent (haggis balls, mmm; fish pie surely a best ever Service really friendly, really helpful, really quick, never pushy Ambience bar area is great, a simple Highland feel, very relaxed; front dining room plain but blissful peace and quiet, no musak The Extra Mile we were staying in a pod nearby with a microwave and fridge but no cutlery, crockery, pans or utensils The Inn gladly helped us out with picnic kit (and uncorked our bottle for the other night...!!!
Really enjoyed our stay. We wanted somewhere close to Glencoe after a day in the mountain and this was ideal. Only 30 minutes away and a bit different. A 5 minute ferry from Corran drops you right at the hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room for 3 was great size and well maintained. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was great. Tasty, good portions and we'll presented. Made use of the residents lounge which was very comfortable too. There's also a great local brewery about 8 minutes walk along the road. Very much recommended
We had the most wonderful view across the loch towards Fort William, right at the water’s edge. The hotel is right by the ferry dock, which makes it very convenient and a fun way to arrive. The car ferry was out of action so we left the car at Corran and took the pedestrian ferry across, giving us a short free boat ride! There is a free pedestrian ferry from here up to Fort William whilst the car ferry is out action. It takes about an hour but is a wonderful way to travel, and takes you right to the centre of Fort William. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the food was not fancy but good. The bar was cozy and busy with a nice atmosphere. The room was a little old fashioned but was spotlessly clean, and had character with thick walled window recess.
Extremely welcoming hotel with lovely staff, excellent dinner and breakfast and a good selection of malts behind the bar. The room was spacious and comfy and what you 'd expect from a traditional Scottish hotel. The ferry across from the mainland was easy to use and ran regularly, so there was no problem getting there (PLEASE don 't believe the nonsense scare stories about 'ferry chaos ' in Scotland). Our dog was welcome in the bar and at breakfast, which was a nice touch too. There 's also a great home brewery about half a mile up the road where you can sit outside with a beer around a camp fire. A great stopping-off point if you 're heading further north and want to break up the journey. We only stayed for one night but will definitely be back!
We had a great weekend at The Inn at Ardgour! It's a cozy family run place. The pub and lounge areas are really nice and perfect for relaxing after long walks in the day. Our bedroom was simple but had its own charm. The bed was super comfy, we slept really well. They also kindly made us a vegan breakfast. The location is stunning, right by the water, and you can easily get there by ferry. We highly recommend The Inn at Ardgour and will definitely be back!
