The Garrison Bistro - Highland

Stopped here without booking and the managed to fit in our family of 6. Excellent service with a good choice of meals. I would recommend the rib and macaroni cheese.

Continental breakfast buffet with typical granola oats, fruit, yogurt, bread toast. Coffee, tea, water, juice for drinks then a choice of one “item” from the menu. I chose the lox and egg bagel. Hubby chose Scottish breakfast. All was cooked perfectly and service was very good.

A large group of us ate here one evening at the end of a wonderful holiday in the area. We found this restaurant disappointing, bog standard white sliced bread to accompany a mediocre prawn cocktail, a lacklustre sauce with the pasta dish, no chutney to go with the curry, and at £70 a head overpriced.

After completing and powering the GGW in 4 days we arrived at the stunning hotel! However major **** up our dear uncle Eric had clearly forgotten how to read a calendar and booked our rooms for the following night!!! que Yvone the hotel assistant manager to the rescue!!! she went above and beyond to help our fatigued brains and organise 3 rooms at the drop of a hat! not only that she made my dreams come true by locking us up in a cell!! that's a cell room with out commiting the crime!!!

My party dined here to celebrate completing the West Highland Way. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. However, we were disappointed with our table and had to ask a staff member for a wedge. I wish they had seated us at a different table instead of grouping customers in one corner. Despite this, it was a lovely place to eat with a great atmosphere. It was reassuring to see a few locals dining, which I believe is a good sign.
