The Dornoch Inn Restaurant And Bar

Horrendous service from start to finish. It seemed strange that there only seemed to be one member of staff on during a holiday weekend and, initially, we felt for him. However, it eventually got beyond a joke. Even though the main course took way too long to come, we mistakenly ordered desert. After waiting more than 45 minutes for it to arrive and still having all our dirty dishes from main course on our table I asked at the bar when we could expect the ice cream that three under fives were waiting on. The rude response from the member of staff who aggressively responded that he was “doing his best” while he walked away from me was entirely unacceptable. I would have left then and there but three kids still wanted their ice cream that they had ordered nearly an hour ago. Overall, lunch took more than two hours from start to end. On top of this, food was only ok. Go anywhere else but here.

Arrived at restaurant having booked a table and received confirmation of booking to be told that restaurant was closed due to a wedding . Extremely annoyed by this as we had driven from outside Glasgow to Dornoch for a weekend stay. Fortunately another local restaurant was able to accommodate us at short notice and we had a lovely meal . Extremely annoyed and disappointed by this flagrant disregard of customers. Cannot comment on food .

It took 30 minutes between sitting down and receiving menus and asked what we'd like to drink and a total of 1 hour 45 mins from sitting down to receiving our main course. The food was okay.

Good service and good quality. A highly recommended site in the Highlands. Rib Eye Steak and Gammon Steak!

We had lunch here, it was very quiet and we didn't need to book. The food was all freshly made and my fussy water daughter really enjoyed hers too. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was all reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend
