Nestled in the heart of Inverness, this restaurant consistently impresses with its exquisite tasting menus and attentive service. Diners rave about the creative dishes, especially highlights like cured salmon, monkfish, scallops, and mouthwatering desserts. While the ambiance is distinct, there's a desire for a cozier atmosphere and improved signage for local patrons. The wine pairings receive mixed reviews; although some selections miss the mark, the value remains exceptional. With reasonable pricing for high-quality cuisine, this eatery is a hidden gem that deserves more local recognition, making it the perfect spot for special occasions or casual lunches alike.

This restaurant is one of our favorites! The chef is amazing and we have been here many times for the set menu and wine pairings. We are always impressed by the flavors of each course, especially the black pudding bread - it's the best in the world! The decor doesn't quite match the "fine dining" description, but it is unique. A warmer, more intimate atmosphere would enhance the overall impression. The service can be a bit hit or miss, with some delays in getting noticed or receiving drinks, and sometimes difficulty understanding the waitstaff due to strong accents. The restaurant is also quite cold, requiring diners to keep their jackets on, which was disappointing as we had dressed up for the occasion. We would appreciate a shuttle service to the city center for easier access to gin/wine pairings. Despite these issues, we give this restaurant 5 stars because the food is outstanding and with a few adjustments, it could be the best dining experience in Inverness.

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant during our stay at the Castle. I was unsure of what to expect at first, as I am more of a burger and fries person and thought it might be too fancy with small portions. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. We opted for the 3-course menu with wine pairings and each dish was amazing. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, which was perfect in my book. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a peaceful meal where you leave feeling pampered.

I ate at this restaurant while staying at the hotel. The restaurant is located in a separate building and has a pleasant atmosphere. The food is excellent, with a great mix of textures and flavors. The service is good and not too pushy. The prices are fair. The portions are a bit small, but you can ask for a second serving of bread, which is nice.

I was here with my family on Wednesday evening and what a great experience it was. The food was amazing we all had the 5 course menu with wine and a few extra wee courses thrown in. From start to finish every course was executed to perfection, beautifully presented and amazing flavours really top notch. The word hidden gem is banded around on this site far too much but this is a HIDDEN GEM cause it's kinda hidden haha. I shall be spreading the word top work chefs. Only 1 wee niggle was that the wines were not really explained by the waiters, didn't bother me at all but would round off the amazing service. Many thanks Keith x

We had a meal booked along with our stay at the castle manor and can’t say we were disappointed, excellent service from the staff providing snacks prior to our meal while we decided on our choices. All courses were amazing but in particular was the monk tail and scallops and you’d expect to pay 3 times what was stated.
