Contribute FeedbackNestled by the Spey, this charming pub is a standout dining destination in Aviemore, especially for vegan enthusiasts. While a separate vegan menu is no longer available, the main menu offers several enticing vegan starters, mains, and desserts. Diners praise the food quality, often likening it to Michelin-level cuisine despite the casual setting. Signature dishes, like the vegan kimchi fried rice and bean noodle salad, receive particularly high marks. With friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, and a vibrant ambiance, it’s recommended to book ahead, as the restaurant attracts a lively crowd, especially during peak seasons. A must-visit for locals and travelers alike!.
I stopped by this restaurant while touring the Highlands on a cold, wet October day. I was greeted by a cozy fire and friendly staff. The lunch was very good, with an excellent cullen skink.
Dinner for my brother-in-laws 40th birthday. I was recommended this place by a barrista in my home town. Also recommended to book. As a party of 6 we were sat at a great table, the ambience and warm of the place was brilliant. We had, a weekend of eating so we all opted for mains. One had the seabass which they said was delicious, 3 of us had the burger which I had and I think it was the best I've ever had. There was a delicious relish on it too. My sister had the steak medium to rate with a peppercorn sauce, she said it was perfectly done. We had one smaller family member with us and she had the chicken goujons and chips, chips were demolished and she loved the chicken too. The waiting team were friendly and had bright smiles. The place was packed at 6pm when we atrived and still packed at 8pm when we left, but it never felt crowded. Definitely worth a visit it you can get a table.
Good food and service in a warm environment in an old pub. Pretty good Cullen Skink followed by a lovely ribeye steak and burger. Fairly decent price at £55 for two including a couple of drinks each. Well worth a visit.
Have visited The Old Bridge for many years and have seen the staff come and go. Recently though the staff have been extremely friendly helpful , always greeted with a smile and hello . What a breath of fresh air the big guy and the gals behind the bar are now “The Dream Team” The place was very busy on the days we went , but still a great atmosphere playing good music at a pleasant volume . They have a very good choice of drinks not a bad price either . Look forward too our next visit and shall definitely make a booking to dine as the food looked delicious.
*Reserve* We got the last table. The place was completely full on a Tuesday night which is a great sign! Definitely the best pub food in aviemore! Sat at the bar for a pint and whisky which was really sociable then went to our table. Table service which was excellent. Lovely food. Very friendly place. Would definitely return and recommend.
