The front terrace was always mobbed when we went (twice) but the small terrace out the back offers much lovelier views and is far quieter. A delightful place to sit and watch the sea. I had excellent cream of courgette soup and a decent flapjack though more choice of cakes would have been welcome. Menu looked good overall, prices were reasonable.Very nice place all together. We made a reservation for four people at 6:00 pm for dinner and were promptly seated. The dishes we ordered, including fish and chips, veggie burger, veggie lasagne, and mussels, were all exceptional - freshly prepared with crispy chips and large, delicious mussels (according to my wife). The value for the quality of the food was outstanding.
After our bike ride, we had some time before our ferry was scheduled to leave so we decided to try out the cafe. The menu had a great selection, whether you were looking for a light snack or a full meal. They are expanding next year to include a larger cafe, shop, and improved restroom facilities. We are already looking forward to our next visit to try more of the delicious food and enjoy the atmosphere.
I stopped by the café to pick up some takeout sandwiches after picking up our bikes from Eigg Adventures next door for our trip to Singing Sands beach. They were very accommodating, cutting the children's sandwiches in half and wrapping up the delicious brownie flapjacks. The standout of the meal was the prawn sandwich - we wished we had ordered an extra one! I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you!
Friendly waiter and possibly the best, most delicious vegetarian haggis in the world! My husband also enjoyed his ‘normal’ haggis panini. Lovely spot.
The food here is great probably the best beef burger and chicken burger we 've had perhaps ever, and the beers are great too. I wouldn 't come back though because of the drunk locals at the front. After making a really harmless comment about the massively drunk bloke that got in a car to drive home it 's all downhill I hope I was asked if I had a problem with it and then told that I should go and stay somewhere else. A couple of others later tried to take the p*#s and persuade me that one of them was the harbour master. So despite some really friendly locals that I did speak to and the great service at the restaurant I really won 't come back to Eigg. Not a friendly place.
