We were staying at the hotel and were very pleased to get a dinner reservation as they were busy. The service was very good and the wait staff were excellent. We chose the local fish and chips and were presented with a substantial meal that was full of flavour. The fish flakes were well cooked and simply melted in your mouth. A simple meal presented very elegantly. View all feedback.

The tea was served in pots that didn't keep it warm for long, and having to pay for refills seemed stingy compared to other places that offer complimentary refills. Additionally, we were caught off guard by the service charge that wasn't mentioned on the menu, which added to our dissatisfaction.Overall, while the food and ambiance were great, these issues would prevent us from returning to this establishment.

My dining experience at this restaurant was disappointing. We arrived without a reservation and were seated in the bar area with stunning views. We were given a menu of specials, but were told that all the main courses were unavailable even though dinner service had not yet started. We ordered two appetizers and two main dishes from the regular menu, along with a side of vegetables. Unfortunately, my halibut main dish was overcooked and oversalted, and did not pair well with the linguine it was served with. The mussel appetizer was nicely presented but lacked bread to soak up the flavorful sauce. Our side of vegetables never arrived, and we had to refill our water glasses with water from our backpack since our server disappeared mid-meal. Despite the beautiful location and grounds of the hotel, the food left much to be desired.
The restaurant offers delicious food, quick service, and welcoming staff. The arancini balls as an appetizer were excellent, paired with a refreshing salsa and rocket salad. The chicken main dish was served in a delightful mushroom and cream sauce. Make sure to sit in the comfortable green chairs in the bar area for a pleasant dining experience.
We stayed here for 2 nights. Both nights the staff was great and we had excellent service in the bar. One night we brought in take out for our kids since they don’t do well with sit down dinners and they were kind enough to supply us with silverware and let us use the bar tables to eat. The bartenders and night staff were so friendly and we had a great visit with them. We would definitely be back and would recommend staying to anyone planning a visit. The rooms were large, clean, and very unique.
