At Mansfield Castle - Highland

The seafood was fresh, though the fish was a bit lackluster. The asparagus and carrots were delicious and sourced from the farm. For appetizers, my wife enjoyed the tasty mushrooms on toast while I tried the small but flavorful scallops. Breakfast was also enjoyable, featuring farm fresh eggs and Kippered Salmon.

We come to this restaurant frequently because the food is excellent. The chef is passionate about his cooking and it shows in the delicious dishes. The restaurant is located a bit out of the way, up the hill from the main High Street, but it is definitely worth the visit. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with attentive and friendly staff who make you feel at home. We always enjoy our meals here, as they are fresh and well-prepared. Even my partner, who is a chef himself and hard to impress, really enjoys the food here. We appreciate the wonderful service from all the staff.

Although the main dish was good, the side vegetables did not meet the same standard. It is recommended to order items cooked pink, rather than the standard medium rare, as this was better suited for lamb than steak.

Very good food, not a big menu and fairly priced, the bar prices are no more than those in the local pubs

If you like a bit of class, great Scottish breakfasts, nice dinner choices, this restaurant would work. Plus it is a classy hotel that looks like a castle.
