thought it may be a good time to try the Highbury Hotel, with some shop a dock $5 meals, well as we arrived, 19h. it was about 20 other people eating. Somehow the staff were stressed, as I ordered the food and drinks, it was friendly service. Half the food came out, wrong Parmy given and another two meals took further 15 minutes to arrive. Thought we will get some vegies from salad/ veg bar, nothing left, was told mo... View all feedback.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch, taking the advantage of a special voucher which gave us one meal free! Comfortable, spacious dining area, friendly staff and delicious food. The schnitzel was crisp and tender!
The Athelstone Lions Club held their Anniversary Dinner at the Highbury Hotel on Saturday November From the very start the service that was provided by the Function Manager Emma with some assistance from Tiffany was excellent and very good value. The meal...was beautifully cooked and served hot and everyone in attendance agreed. The staff on the night were polite, helpful and attentive. Very well done to all and a credit to the hotel. Sadly I won’t be recommending this hotel, we ordered our meals and waited well over an hour or more for our food to come out. The meals on the menu sounded awesome but in real life they were very very ordinary, my chicken Salad had...very little dressing on it , was so dry, a few lettuce leaves and a piece of tomato and a half avocado just tossed on the plate. My friend had the beef Salad, same again very dry definitely not worth what we paid for it. The beef snitty was over cooked. The best part of the meal was the plate of chips I had as a side to share. The girls kept saying sorry, for the wait, looked like they had a function upstairs that perhaps took priority over the other guests. Maybe management needs to look at staffing ratios. I reckon the guy in the kitchen was run ragged. Sad to say I wouldn’t recommend this place at all
Warm night, too hot to cook, gor out of the pool and headed for the pub. Tried the dining room menu nut a bit pricy for how we were feeling, checked out the sports bar instead Burger beers for was fine value as...was my rump chips. Sone his wife had pie and also the pizza. all just hit the spot. must do this again often too easy.
