Had an omelet, was kinda weird, all fluffy and full of bubbles, would have ordered something different if I'd know they were going to try and be so creative. The rest of the food was good. Terrible food. We asked for two breakfasts. In one, the eggs and the potatoes were extremely boiled, in the other we asked for waffles, but they never told us they had no fruit to accompany the waffles, and they offered nothing else. There we ask for random jams to eat the waffles. We asked for whipped cream and never brought them to our table. It would take a long time to bring our coffee, and they never gave us a s... Was in town and dropped by for the novelty of the train car. Cute and cozy little space. Had a nice brunch, tried their loaded French toast and their chicken apple brie sandwich. Delicious sandwiches and sizeable portion. Also enjoyed their corn chowder soup.
Amazing service, we went for coffee dessert, the pies are amazing, will be going back for lunch soon!
I recently discovered a restaurant that I absolutely loved and will definitely visit again the next time I’m driving through High River. My family, which includes three boys, didn’t have a reservation, but the manager was kind enough to arrange two tables for the five of us. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was dining inside a vintage train. Plus, the prices were quite reasonable. One standout aspect of our visit was our server, a lovely young lady who left a lasting impression. Her warm and friendly attitude even won my wife’s admiration.
The brunch experience was decent, but the service was just average. There’s nothing to complain about, yet nothing that truly impressed me, either. The food was quite basic, and had I been more aware, I might have chosen a different place. Overall, it's a good option for a one-time visit. You won't regret going, but it's unlikely you'll return.
This charming little spot is located right in the heart of downtown High River. My wife took me out for a lunch date, and I can't believe it took me six years to discover this place! I think I always thought it looked too fancy from the outside. The service was impeccable, provided by the owner, David. The food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable given the portion sizes. I ordered the Alberta roast beef dip with asiago garlic fries. I had a similar meal at Boston Pizza the day before, and there was simply no comparison in quality—even though it was a dollar or two cheaper, excluding the fries upgrade! I will definitely be returning. Although they close at 3 PM, they also host special events like Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve. This is the best food I've had in town!
