A hidden gem but worth a visit. My parents turned me onto this restaurant. My dad is from NYC and grew up having authentic Chinese food. This place is the real deal. The owner use to own a restaurant in NYC. Everything is fresh. There are no heavy sugary sauces, fresh meat and vegetables and their fried rice is not yellow and hard like most places. What Robin Spencer doesn't like about Mandalay Asian Fusion Cuisine:
Ordered for pickup. My husband got home and there was no rice with the order. (The entrees say they come with rice) Called and restaurant offered to fix it if we came back but the rest of the food would not have been hot and fresh. The restaurant said they would remove part of the order. However when I started eating my food it had pockets of cold in it like it had just come out of the refrigerator. My husband’s fish... A wonderful place for those looking for a healthier and fresh alternative. We picked up dinner to go tonight and very pleased. We have had a wonderful experience every time.
Picked up the chicken lo mein, crab rangoons, and orange chicken.I really wanted to find a good Chinese place. Unfortunately, this was not it.The chicken lo mein was flavorless and the noodles were over cooked. It’s typically a dish you can’t go wrong with. The orange chicken’s portion size was pretty small for the $15 price. If you plan to share it, good luck. The chicken was cooked alright, unfortunately not fried like most places tovadd some texture. These seem to have been thinly sliced and marinated in corn starch. The flavor of the sauce was weak but spicy, which isn’t redeeming. The crab Rangoons were decently fried but didn’t come with sauce that isn’t the super sweet pre-packaged duck sauce. The cream cheese and crab were flavorless with almost a sour taste (not the good kind).Overall, I hope we caught them on a slow and rough night. This was our first and last time at this establishment.
Disappointed compared with 2021 visit. Hardly any meat with our two dishes. Instead overwhelmed with onions and peppers. No assorted vegatables as promised. Very tiny portions, yet more expensive than others. Vacant except for us 6pm Friday. Nobody hardly speaks English and speaks too softly. Hard to understand. Tasty.
I came here on friday night. it's a pity because we love roast duck but it's out of stock. The space is clean and elegant. I think this is a family restaurant, so everything is arranged and prepared very carefully. The food is very good to me, the owner and his wife are also very good. I like the way they take care of their customers. Will come to support and hope next time I come there will be duck meat. I really like this place
