Was taylor h at Claddagh Pub a mag?
"Decent is the best way to sum up my overall experience. The food tasted as if it had been frozen rather than freshly prepared. The portion sizes were reasonable, but the flavors fell a bit short compared to other Irish pubs I've visited.".
What Candice Bailey dislikes about Claddagh Pub:
the onion rings and fried green tomatoes had a burnt oil after taste to them, couldn't eat them. then mybsteak was pick on the outside of it, didn't have a great flavor, and the texture was way off, it was mushy. when the manager came out she was pointing out that my fiance ate his steak, yeah he covered it in steak sauce to do so. she made excuses as to why the fried green tomatoes were bad, that because they were o... Had a hidden fee automatic fee for bar service. I asked why I ordered food and ice water. Was later told by another waiter that I had to ask for the bar...
This was our first visit to Claddagh's, and it certainly won't be our last. The food, atmosphere, and staff are all outstanding. We celebrated my father's 72nd birthday and had a wonderful time enjoying appetizers, drinks, and delicious food. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
We went for a quick bite before dinner, and everything was absolutely fantastic! I have no complaints at all! I would definitely go back 100%! The pimento cheese was so delicious that I was genuinely surprised. I could easily eat a whole bucket of chips!
This place is simply exceptional! There are not many (if any) traditional Irish restaurants in this area, so there is minimal no competition; but they try to be the best of every visit. I can't say good enough here. The staff was always top notch and very personable and I never had a plate with food or a drink that wasn't about what I expected. I eat here at least once if not twice a week and for years. Just eat one of my top locations!

Claddagh, an Irish pub in High Point, presents a dining experience filled with contrasts. While some patrons celebrate the flavorful dishes and stellar service from staff members, others express disappointment over food quality and service shortfalls, including complaints about cleanliness and rude staff interactions. The ambiance reflects a casual sports bar rather than an authentic Irish establishment, despite a well-stocked bar and a hint of traditional offerings. Weekend brunches and creative appetizers have received praise, yet inconsistency in food execution may leave diners questioning its status as the go-to Irish pub in the Triad region.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The ambiance was appealing, and the waitress was fantastic, but the food was disappointing. My wife ordered chicken tenders that looked like they were straight out of a frozen bag from Walmart, served with a side of $1 fries like you’d get at Wendy’s. I chose the ribs, which were tender and had a great sauce, but they were served cold as if they had just come out of the fridge. It was a Saturday night, and aside from three people at the bar, we were the only customers there, which explains the lack of business. After reading other reviews, I’m left wondering if they visited a different restaurant. I can’t recommend this place, and I won’t be returning – I can spend my $60 more wisely elsewhere.
When the food finally arrived, it was absolutely awful. We couldn’t even eat it—it was so disgusting that just thinking about it makes my stomach queasy. We both ended up with food poisoning from what little we managed to consume. The menu didn't match the reality of the food at all. We kept asking for silverware whenever we spotted a waiter, but nobody brought us napkins or utensils. My sister eventually took matters into her own hands and went behind the bar to grab some napkins and silverware herself. From the food and service to the atmosphere, this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I urge anyone reading this to think twice; it’s simply not worth it.
I'm from Dallas, TX, and this place was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the lollipop lambs, but they were partially burned and tough. I decided to switch to nachos, but I've never seen nachos topped with carrots and peas. The only thing I enjoyed was the Jack Daniel's, and even the soda was flat.
Very nice restaurant. Came here and ordered a Reuben and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Will definitely come back to this place in the future!!. Had some issues with our tickets but was sorted out very promptly.

Ok so here goes! This was one of the worst meals I 've ever eaten I had Sheherds pie and was so looking forward! Worst ever! No flavor in meat sauce, really needs salt pepper. The mash was so thin it might as well not be there! Who serves poor food like that. My husband had the fish chips said not bad but this restaurant was stingy with ketchup! Why? Two tablespoons in a small container you had to ask for more? Finally they charge you to use a credit card! Never ever again ! This business doesn 't deserve my business. And I will tell my friends who will tell their friends! Just an awful experience! The next day , suffering from stomach issues. How old was that Shepherd 's Pie. Ugh!
The idea of an Irish pub, when executed in the same way as pubs in Ireland, is truly something special. There are certain expectations that a customer should have when visiting such a place, including traditional decor, a welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, a good selection of drinks, and delicious, filling food. Unfortunately, High Point's Claddagh falls short in many of these areas. The setting feels more like a local sports bar than an authentic Irish pub, with a lack of polish and pride in the layout and furnishings. The atmosphere and staff also do not meet the standards one would expect from a genuine Irish pub. The bar itself is decently stocked, but the fact that they do not serve Guinness in true imperial pints is disappointing. The food offerings have been hit or miss, with appetizers that seem to be store bought and entrees that do not live up to traditional Irish dishes. Overall, while Claddagh has the potential to be something special in the Triad region, they are not taking advantage of this opportunity to excel in the Irish pub experience.
We came for the Valentine's Day special, but I have to say I was more than impressed with everything experienced tonight. We started with the Ruben and Rachel egg roll appetizers which were satisfying. My wife ordered the Parmesan Pesto Salmon which she loved, stating it was the best salmon she has had, ever. I ordered the Bacon and Blue cheese crusted N.Y. Strip. I'm a ribeye guy but this did not disappoint. In fact it was at the top of my list for flavor, tenderness and size. It's a generous cut grilled to perfection. Not to mention we finished our date with a huge slice of Irish Double Fudge Chocolate Cake. All in all it was a very memorable night out. Fantastic food, a great server named Erica and left with a smile. My heartfelt compliments to the chef, thank you!!! Don Summey
Food was decent but want to give a shout out to one server who stood out from all the rest. Bryce. i could tell she was not only an awesome worker but she also has a charming compassionate personality. she made us feel like we mattered and knows what cuztomer service is all about! give that girl a raise!
We had a fantastic experience with amazing food and incredibly friendly staff. This restaurant has quickly become one of our top choices whenever we're in High Point. My husband raves about the Reuben, while my personal favorite is the shepherd's pie; honestly, everything we've tried has been excellent. They also offer a great selection of beer and the bread pudding is simply out of this world!

We stopped by on Sunday 7/2122 around 11:45 for brunch. The regular dining room was over run with loud obnoxious teenagers from HPU so we chose to sit in the bar where it was quieter. I always get the stuffed French toast as it is amazing. Unfortunately, when I gave the waiter my order he said that they were out of pastry cream and hadn’t made more. I asked myself how you could run out of an ingredient from your best seller on a Sunday?? My husband then ordered a new item off the menu. Once again “Sorry but we are out of that.” We both ordered something we didn’t really want instead of just leaving and going elsewhere. Shame on us for that, as neither of the new choices we made were worth it. The pancakes were mediocre at best and the banger sausage was completely bland. Definitely not as good of an experience as we have had in the past. It will definitely be a while before we return.

The food is delicious, but the wait time for both cooking and serving could be quite long.

I cannot say enough good about this place. The staff has always been top notch and very personable and I have never had a plate of food or a drink that was not beyond what I expected. It was our 1st time there. It was a Saturday night. We were surprised because there was only like 2 other people in the restaurant at the time. And it was like 6:30 pm. We thought on a Saturday night it should have been pretty crowded. The Panko crusted chicken was very good! Drinks were too strong. My Marquerita was undrinkable . The Shepards pie was nothing special. The chili nachos were not very good either. Same meat used for both. Overall it was diappointing. No atmosphere as we were sat by the dart boards. They did say Karoake was at 9. At some point we might give it another chance.

This was our first time visiting Claddagh in High Point. Since the main dining area was reserved for a large group, we opted to sit in the bar area. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We decided to start with the poutine as an appetizer. It was tasty, but it had a hint of maple sweetness that you might either love or dislike. For our main courses, we both ordered the fish and chips. They were good, but I found the fish to be a bit heavier on the breading than I prefer. Overall, it's a charming little spot, and we definitely plan to return to explore more items on their menu. Additionally, they host various events throughout the week, including trivia on Mondays, karaoke on Thursdays, and brunch on Sundays. I can't remember the specific events for the other days, but I believe they have something planned for each day of the week.
Claddagh is our favorite local spot. Their fish and chips are consistently the best around. The service is top-notch, just like any good bar. They have Foothills Jade and many other favorites on tap. We're incredibly grateful they survived the challenges of COVID. Over the years, we've ordered food for delivery and takeout, and it's always been delicious.
I had a reasonable experience at the restaurant, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. The food was tasty, but it didn't really inspire me to try anything else on the menu. The service was a bit lackluster; there were moments when I had to get my own extra napkins and a to-go box from the nearby server station because the staff wasn't very attentive. If someone suggested this place, I would consider going again, as long as I had enough time!

My husband then chose a new item from the menu, but once again we heard, "Sorry, but we’re out of that." Instead of leaving to find another place, we both settled for options we weren’t excited about. We regretted that decision, as neither of our new choices was satisfying. The pancakes were just mediocre, and the banger sausage was completely flavorless. This experience was definitely not as enjoyable as previous visits. It will likely be a while before we decide to return.
This was our first time dining at Claddagh's, but it definitely won't be our last. The food, atmosphere, and staff were all fantastic. We celebrated my dad's 72nd birthday and enjoyed delicious appetizers, drinks, and a wonderful meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
