Every waitress in the place was helpful and friendly. Appreciated being greeted with a smile! Ordered sweet tea, pulled pork, mac cheese, apples and of course the hush puppies! I can’t stop thinking about those hush puppies. Service was quick we had our food in no time! BBQ sauce had a great flavor. We couldn’t get enough. Definitely recommend if you are passing through High Point!

And BBQ Joe delivered the flavorful, unique, and delicious smoked meat I’ve ever tasted in this area. The sides are also excellently yummy. Seeing many elderly couples dining inside, this is something that tells me there’s this restaurant is distinct. Five stars for BBQ Joe’s Country Cooking.

There was nothing super... read more While a little out of the way for me, this was worth the trip. The waitress was pleasant, the service was prompt, and the food was good. There was nothing superlative about the restaurant or its food which is why I am giving it four stars: it was homemade southern cooking done right, but not exceedingly well. The restaurant was a bit dimly lit, but other than that, I think a solid 4/4.5 is an appropriate rating for this place.
