We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at The Queen's. The food, ambiance, and service were all fantastic. The menu has been recently refreshed and the braised ox cheek and Bailey's creme brulee were particularly exceptional. Thank you for making our day memorable. View all feedback.

Stopping at a nearby Caravan park we had been recommended this place for an evening meal. As we approached we were a little unsure as it didn’t look that inviting. As we were there and I fancied a beer anyway we went in. We got the menu and thought it looked ok so we ordered. The beer was good as we waited but we didn’t have huge hopes… ……how wrong we were!! This pub in the Peak District is simply the best. The food is great, the service is excellent, and everything is fantastic. It's a charming village pub that serves delicious drinks and amazing food. The Portuguese Chicken is a must-try for those who enjoy spicy dishes, the steaks are top-notch, and the Sunday roasts are superb. The desserts are also a delight, with unique ice cream flavors sometimes available. This pub is a hidden gem in the Peaks, so be sure to visit and make a reservation for weekends and busy periods as it gets crowded.
I must give credit where credit is due - the food and service at this restaurant were top notch, 10/10. I will definitely be returning to try more of their dishes. The surrounding area is also great for walking.
This charming pub has a strong sense of community and is popular among both locals and visitors. The food is hearty and reasonably priced, and the service from the friendly and attentive staff is prompt. The new owners have done a fantastic job of reviving this pub and bringing life back to the village. Well done!
Visited with my friend as am doing the Peak District pubs map. Warm welcome in a traditional British pub. Lovely pint of Aspells cider. We both ordered the beef and horseradish sandwiches. Lovely crusty bread and just the right amount of sauce. Home roasted thick sliced beef was generous. Mine came with balsamic salad and crisps. My friend had hers with homemade soup. Both meals priced at £7.50 each! Friendly staff and will definitely visit again.
