What User likes about The Coach House:
the best tasting fish and chips that I had for decades, what a jewel to find this fish and chip shop, we travel from uttoxeter about an hour away, once or twice in the month to enjoy them. Don't miss the call soon. View all feedback. What Pesha123 doesn't like about The Coach House:
We visited today, whilst on holiday so not familiar with buxton. The chip shop looked appealing, and they have table service or takeaway. We opted to eat in and the meal deal was pointed out to us. A fish, chip, peas, bread and hot or cold drink for £10.50 each. Not bad, until you get your calculator out and work out that it's cheaper to buy everything separately! depending which drink you opt for, it's about 50-75p ch... View all feedback.

read moreThe Coach House presents a mixed dining experience for those craving fish and chips. While some patrons rave about the generous portions and delightful flavors, particularly praising the battered sausages and fish quality, others are disappointed by greasy offerings, small servings, and indifferent staff. The ambiance is a blend of quaint charm with outdated decor, often leading to cramped conditions. Quick service is noted, yet the takeaway side can overshadow dine-in experiences. Overall, it remains a mixed bag, with some finding it a hidden gem worthy of travel, while others question its value amidst inconsistent food quality and service.
