We stumbled in for a late brunch just after New Year 2019 and found a very warm and welcoming greeting from the staff. It was impressively full, so we had to wait a few moments to get seated, but a kind customer invited us to share their table. As they were so busy, some of the menu choices were unavailable, but the staff were so helpful and obliging, it didn't really matter. The food was very well presented and deli... View all feedback.

What amdgriggs dislikes about Millie's Tea Rooms, Chocolatier, B&B:
We headed for here to have a coffee and a cake before setting off on the next 10 mile section of the Boundary Walk to Glossop, on a chilly and cloudy day with lots of rain forecast just the day when you need something warming first. We'd checked out Millie's via the website and it looked lovely, but when we arrived it was very clearly closed. We asked at the village store a couple of doors away and heard that this of... Amazing staff who did not flinch when 18 of us turned up for breakfast. Natalie, Oomar and Rukiya all went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. All ordered different breakfasts and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Kids enjoyed the village feel and the stream on the street. Would defo go again

I booked this b&b after reading the reviews on Instagram. Unfortunately for a place that calls itself halal allowed dogs to stay in her premises. Had I known this before travelling I wouldn’t have booked it. I’m not sure how many Muslim families would stay in a room that a dog has stayed in previously. It’s best she fore warns her guests that dogs are allowed to stay.

4 friends and I stayed at Millies B&B in November and loved the experience. The booking process was very straight forward. On arrival we were personally shown to our rooms, which were of a good standard, clean and tidy.We wanted to stay at Millies for the local walks. The staff were very knowledgeable about local walks and very friendly in offering us advice and recommendations. The highlight of the trip has to be the food. The all halal full English breakfast was just what was needed after a hearty 6 mile hike. The chocolates made on site were a fabulous treat for the journey home and for family. It was a pleasure to spend time with Millies staff and the owner Rukiya was a true delight. She welcomed us in to her B&B almost as family.I highly recommend the Peak District’s best kept secret ....particularly the halal full English!
