Unfortunately, our... read more My partner and I dined at this restaurant in the evening, even though we were not guests at the hotel where most diners seemed to be staying. Unfortunately, our booking was not on their records, but they managed to find us a decent table. However, the service was quite slow overall. The food, when it finally arrived, was not up to par. The vegetables were cold and too hard, almost raw. The main dishes were mediocre at best. Getting the bill was also a challenge, as we had to ask twice before I went to the bar to settle it myself. Despite the subpar service, we chose to pay our bill. We do not recommend dining here.

We had a very enjoyable stay here, a good base for exploring Buxton and the surrounding environment.

The Hotel has a great calm friendly feel... read more Stayed here mid week, this Hotel is really comfortable and clean. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The Hotel has a great calm friendly feel together with staff that are always happy to help. The choice and quality of food in the restaurant was very good, both breakfast and evening meal. Definitely recommend staying here.
