A busy Sunday afternoon in Buxton as it was the Well Queen day. We queued up as the outside tables were in dappled sunlight and the name of the cafe was appealing. The ordered tea was good but dirty cups smeared in lipstick? The salad... View all feedback.
What My Nayvee doesn't like about Everythings Rosy Interiors Vintage Tea Rooms:
Visited Saturday afternoon , not particularly busy , ordered a latte and a brownie from small serving area , service very slow 20 minutes for order to arrive.. The brownie was dry and very hard and the latte very weak.. No further attentive service throughout the duration of my time spent there not so much as a thank you or goodbye as I was leaving. Better places to visit in Buxton with friendlier service. View all feedback.
The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. They have a great selection of delicious cakes and provide excellent service. Highly recommend!
I visited this restaurant on January 26th, 2023. Although I only had a snack, it was definitely worth it. I wasn't in the mood for fancy coffee, so I was pleased to see they offered filter coffee. My husband enjoyed his tea, saying it was a good cup of it. I tried the Homemade Coffee Cake and it was the best I've ever had, truly amazing. My husband had a toasted teacake that was actually toasted, unlike many places that barely grill them.
The restaurant provided poor, slow, and unfriendly service. The menu was uninspiring and the food was overpriced, with small portions of basic quality.
Was welcomed inside, shown to a table, then nothing! Couple at the side of us gave their order to the young lad and another table cleared, still nothing for us. After 25 mins went to investigate what was happening, to be told they'd stopped serving! (Why seat us? Someone reluctantly took our order and it was served quickly enough, but waitress apologised for the confusion then went on to add that they had actually stopped serving food, great way to make you feel welcome! Food was very basic for the price, didn't look particularly appealing but tasted good none the less. Will find alternative food premises next time
We stumbled across this little cafe within a shop, when visiting Buxton. It's just my sort of place, cosy and quirky. I tried my first ever Derbyshire Oatcake with ham and cheese which was delicious (although the presentation was a bit basic...but we'll call it retro since it's a vintage shop!
