The atmosphere, décor, and ambiance made us feel as t... read more This was our first experience trying Sri Lankan cuisine, and Ayubowan was the perfect restaurant to do so! The atmosphere, décor, and ambiance made us feel as though we were actually in Sri Lanka. The food was delicious, with our favorites being the calamari rings and kothu (with ham and prawns). For dessert, we tried the chocolate biscuit pudding, a Sri Lankan recipe, and we can't wait to return to sample the watalappan, another authentic dessert. Ayubowan is a true gem in Glossop – thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

The jackfruit small plate starter was also de... read more I thoroughly enjoyed the lentil curry at this restaurant. However, the beetroot curry was too spicy for my liking. The jackfruit small plate starter was also delicious. I took advantage of the 2 for 1 deal on a Wednesday, which was great. I would also suggest trying the garlic roti, it was really good.

We only visit on the dedicated 100% vegan night, which occurs on the last Sunday of every month. Therefore, we can only comment on the food served on that day. The restaurant offers a delightful variety of vegan dishes in the buffet, including starters, salads, and desserts. The main dishes are usually spicy Sri Lankan cuisine. We highly recommend it.
