Irie Delights Inc - Hicksville

Owner was really nice. The beef patty and curry chicken patty was great!!

These are Jamaican hand pies. They have quite a spread but the best I have tasted is the curry chicken. Good amount of meat in each pie. I got two and it was good enough as a dinner for me.

Located towards the front entrance and left side entrance of Broadway Mall (across from the Kung Fu Tea kiosk) is a delicious Caribbean stand. Their beef Pattie's are so tasty and even the entrees like oxtail with rice is solid and authentic. They always have desserts packaged up and I've wanted to try but next time!

The Broadway Mall in Hicksville is slowly but surely becoming a GREAT place to find ethnic foods. I've been to Irie Delights a couple of times and they do not disappoint. I've had their j chicken, curried goat, oxtails and spicy beef patties and they've all been very good. Why not more stars? Well, it's a take out only and there's no place to easily sit and I have to take everything into account. Based on the food alone, though? You won't be disappointed.

I had the rice and peas with oxtail and it did not taste good. I really wasted my money on this.
