Fuel Cafe - Hicksville

This place had so many green V’s on the menu (which made my heart happy Many wonderful vegan options at great prices. Out of all the items our family ordered, the vegan quesadilla was the best!

Their healthy eating focus is mostly high protein, low carb and protein smoothies (catering to some gym goers) but they also have a few vegan and vegetarian options which are ok in a pinch simple soup, salad and veg wraps and sweet and regular potato air-cooked fries. Nice to have some options, grateful for the veg inclusion on the menu, but for a health conscious vegan looking for some fresh flavorful simple food, just a convenience, not a destination.

My husband suggested this restaurant for a quick meal. He always seemed satisfied with his choices, and they had a variety of clearly marked vegan and gluten-free options available. He enjoyed his wrap, while my lentil soup was overly salty with few lentils and a lot of carrots and celery.

I recently visited this restaurant and I wish we had one like it in Northern California. It has a classic diner feel but also offers healthy options, including a wide variety of vegan dishes that aren't even listed on their website. The pricing is unbeatable. I tried their vegan protein smoothies and the only egg sandwich, which consists of two sausage patties, two eggs, and coffee. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I absolutely adore this restaurant! I can't believe it doesn't have a five-star rating. They offer a full vegan menu and gluten-free options. Every dish I've tried has been absolutely incredible.
