Standard Oyster Company - Hickory

I absolutely love this place! The oysters (all types), shrimp (which were quite large), lobsters, and seafood tacos were incredible. They offer a variety of beers alongside the usual options, as well as mixed drinks. I felt the bartender could have been more attentive, but they were quite busy. The atmosphere was beautiful and there was a guitar player adding to the ambiance. I was really pleased with my meal! It is a bit on the expensive side, but definitely a great place to visit.

Wow, wow, wow! If you’re a fan of oysters, this is definitely the spot for you. We sampled all of them! The lobster sliders with charred lemon were absolutely incredible. But I’ll never forget the mac and cheese—simply amazing. Everything was divine! You need to get here right away.

I was initially skeptical despite the rave reviews, but I decided to give this place a try. In a city where Red Lobster appears to be the only seafood option, my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised. I sampled four varieties of fresh oysters from North Carolina and Virginia, and they were outstanding – fresh and with an incredible texture. Additionally, I had the cold steamed shrimp, which also boasted great texture and flavor. The service was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable, especially considering that none of the North Carolina oysters were on the menu. They offer an excellent selection of Maine and New England oysters, and the rest of the menu looked enticing as well. I will definitely be back!

Wow, just wow! This place is incredible. We all had the lobster sliders with charred lemon, and they were to die for. I'll never forget the Mac and Cheese—absolutely amazing! Everything was divine. You have to check it out!

We have visited this restaurant many times and have always been pleased with both the food and the staff. I recall a woman who was unhappy about her meal and the prices, stating it wasn't what she expected. However, the prices are clearly listed on the menu. The server was excellent and went out of her way to assist her while still making sure we were enjoying our oysters. I really enjoy coming here for the delicious food and the fantastic atmosphere.
