Stopped by Hannah’s BBQ again today and it did not disappoint. Tried the hamburger steak, with potato salad and sweet potato fries. The hamburger steak was great with excellent flavor covered with onions, green and red peppers. The potato salad was homemade and taste similar to my grandmothers. The sweet potato fries were awesome, drizzled with a bit of honey making them even better! Great lunch! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hannah's Bbq South:
Brisket was not very good, tough and fatty. Server wasn?t very friendly either. Pork was much better. Macaroni and cheese tasted like generic grocery store version. Probably won?t be back unfortunately. View all feedback.
I’ve been eating at Hannah’s, my entire life from the Lenoir restaurant to Viewmont and Mountain View. For the most part, I’ve always had excellent experiences because I continue to go. The barbecue is actually wonderful! However, the experience I had today at the Viewmont location was quite contrary. I purchased barbecue yesterday evening an entire pound and brought it home. This morning when we went to eat the leftovers (that had not sat out and was adequately and correctly stored) the smell was odd. I tried to take a few bites anyway, but my toddler completely refused after one bite. I proceeded to take the BBQ back to the viewmont location. I spoke with the general manager and told him the situation. He replaced the BBQ but was reluctant to do so, and stated that in his 25 years of making barbecue, he had never had that occur. Well… if I could have eaten it, I would not have gone out of my way to bring it back. I was extremely disappointed that I was not met with more of an apology. I was not rude and quite pleasant, and simply explained the situation. I instead was made to feel like a dishonest liar. And he spoke loudly enough that all of the patrons could definitely hear. I suppose he went on the defensive. Nevertheless, I will now be traveling all the way to Mountain View to pick up my Bbq from Hannah’s of Mountain View. Not that anyone really cares but This was not a good experience.
Onion rings were very good, as were the ribs, wings, and fried okra. Four of us had dinner together, and everyone said that they were very happy with their food. The service was very good.
Ordered Sir Purr, a burger that on their menu says it has bacon. It came with no bacon. I told staff and they told me it doesnt come with bacon, i believed them. I see their menu again later and it says it comes with bacon...
Service was excellent. Food was ok. Brisket had little flavor. Some ribs fell off bone, others were tough. Would suggest more selections of sauce on table. All in all we were satisfied but not over the top about it. Consensus among of us varied from 3.5 to 4.5.
