This is the best restaurant in Hickory, and that is saying something. Hickory is fortunate to have several fine dining options for the hometown foodies. Fourk has the most consistent, highest quality, freshest and best menu in Hickory for a reasonable price. It’s rare if a restaurant to hit such a perfect niche. What Em doesn't like about Fourk:
Place deserves a zero. Owner is pathetic and doesn’t take accountability for food that was unsanitary and caused food poisoning. Actually laughed when I suggested it. Don’t go here. Fourk is a fantastic place for a couple of hours of conversation and a delicious meal. The mussels were flavorful and expertly prepared in a white wine sauce. We also ordered a filet, which was cooked to perfection. While the menu highlights seafood, they also have options for lamb, pork, chicken, and beef. The atmosphere is casual, and the bartenders are incredibly friendly.
A spontaneous decision to go for a drive led us to Hickory for a Saturday night date night, and we were excited for a culinary adventure. At Fourk, we encountered some fantastic staff who genuinely care about providing great customer experiences. We began our meal with the Ahi Tuna Avocado appetizer, which was so delicious that my husband ended up ordering another portion. The sun-dried tomatoes in the seafood mélange added an incredible burst of flavor that reminded me of my time in Italy years ago. The manager was a delight; despite being busy, she took the time to chat with me, and I noticed her actively assisting others throughout the restaurant. Her professionalism was evident, and it was clear she is deeply invested in the restaurant's culture. Our server, Dave, was a pleasant young man who provided excellent service. You have to try Fourk and experience their culinary delights for yourself!
I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff was polite and helpful when I had questions about the bill. I can't wait to bring more people there!
We stopped in for dinner on a Monday night around 5:30pm. The restaurant wasn't too busy and were seated immediately. The place was clean and staff was friendly. They had an interesting menu. We had the baked brie which had crushed pecans and cinnamon which was really good but really didn't come with enough bread. We also had the ahi tuna appetizer which was delicious. I also had the shrimp tacos which were good but I think they could of used a crema to finish the tacos.Overall a great experience.
Had our first visit last night for a recruiting dinner for an out of town applicant. We loved it!! Food was excellent, server was great. Can't believe we've never been before. This is our new go-to place!
