What User doesn't like about Main Street Grill:
This restaurant would attract more customers if it offered breakfast all day. The lunch menu has a unique and inspiring selection of dishes. However, when I went for lunch, everyone at my table found the food to be very underwhelming and bland. I would not recommend this place. The menu is outdated and unexciting. The restaurant also lacked cleanliness. View all feedback.
Beautiful place to eat. reasonable prices and good food. if the place has a lot of workman, they know that it is a good place.
We went for valentines and was served a delicious prime rib with a baked potato loaded and the desert was to die for. Thank you for the friendly service!
I love their breakfast!!! Homemade buttermilk biscuits are the best I’ve ever bought from a restaurant!!! Hands down for sure some Awesome gravy too??????
Edited to respond: I never asked you to fire them. I suggested making your presence known in the dining room so that these sorts of things don’t happen. You truly can’t assure me they did not steal the tablet if you weren’t there. Thank you! While the food was not bad, the service was terrible. An older gentleman came in while we were dining to eat breakfast and the server shouted at him across the restaurant that they were only serving lunch. When he pointed out there were still 10 minutes until lunch began, she shouted back nope you’re wrong bye. I also overheard the server bussing another table and flaming sobri how terrible the hash browns are and how she never understands why people order them or how they eat them. When we walked out to our car after eating we immediately realized my 4 year old had left her tablet inside. We hadn’t even left the restaurant parking lot yet. When we went right back inside to ask for it, my husband tried to ask her if she found it and she laughed and said nope and walked away. We were seated at a table so it’s not like we were in a booth and it slid down somewhere. There were maybe 5-6 other people eating in the restaurant which were 2 of the servers friends and then the rest were elderly people so it is highly doubtful one of them stole my child’s tablet. I walked in and tried to ask again and she looked at her friend who was dining there, laughed and said no never saw it. She never got our name or number “in case it turned up” which I also found very suspicious and unprofessional. It’s not like this was stolen from an adult, it was stolen from a CHILD. When I called the manager the next day to tell him what happened he said he’s never known this particular server to do that but he couldn’t say the same about the other staff members. Which I found odd. Why hire people you can’t trust? He said he would speak to the 2 servers that were on duty and for me to call back. When I called back and he said they both said they helped me look for it (which they never did) and that they said they didn’t do it so that’s all he could go by was their word.I never leave bad reviews but seeing as there were many elderly people in the restaurant that could accidentally leave their belongings behind one time, I felt it necessary to make people aware that the staff steals.I never expected reimbursement or even for them to fess up to stealing it. It took me all of 5 mins to order a new one and block the stolen one from ever being used, but it’s the way it was handled by not only the staff but also the manager who seemed of just shrug off that the staff steals. If the manager is aware the staff is capable of these things, at the very least he should be present in the dining room area.
Tried this place out and fell in love. Food was terrific and the staff was very friendly. I'll be patronizing this restaurant again during my next visit to Hiawassee.
