Tables were too close together so difficult to get in or out from the table. Food was great with lots of choices and our waitress was fabulous with a great personalty. Dinner prices were reasonable too. View all feedback.
What Greg Dial doesn't like about Deer Lodge Dining Room:
Very disappointed. Normally outstanding. This had to be the worst steak I have ever eaten. So much gristle that I left most of it on the plate. Mentioned this to the hostess as I was paying. Reply was I 'm sorry, that will be $52 . Just noticed that this review page, under which dishes do you recommend specifically lists Ribeye Fat and Grissle . Must be a recurring problem. Nice place to eat, judt avoid the rjbeye. View all feedback.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, our Saturday evening experience a couple of weeks ago left much to be desired. We endured a 40-minute wait in the cold before finally being seated, and my family of five was eager to enter. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, and the food portions were undeniably generous. My husband and I both ordered the ribeyes, which were so massive that they practically eclipsed the dinner plates they were served on. However, what disappointed us most was the lack of flavor in these steaks – they were astonishingly bland, not even seasoned with salt (and I'm particularly sensitive to salt, able to detect it in the air). There was a noticeable absence of butter, seasoning, or any effort to enhance their taste. While I didn't expect aged steaks, it's well-known among steak connoisseurs that aged steaks require minimal seasoning. The coleslaw was equally uninspiring, resembling a bowl of mayo with a scant amount of shredded cabbage – devoid of seasoning and drowning in mayo. The children's dinners were no better, appearing to consist of reheated frozen items. My husband and I devised a plan to salvage the situation. Thankfully, our Airbnb had a well-equipped kitchen, allowing us to take those enormous, unseasoned steaks to go. We heated some butter and added seasonings and herbs in a pan, and the result was surprisingly delicious.I sincerely hope that this was just an off night for the chefs at the restaurant. While we gave it a try, if we ever find ourselves back in the area, we'll opt for a different dining choice.
We had a large party of 13 ladies. Food was delicious. Service was great and portions were huge. Love this place! Will definitely be back when in the area.
Excellent steak you get your money worth. their steaks are 16 Oz. They are twice the size of steaks that say 22 Oz at other chain steak houses
