I was surprised when we walked in that this place was a bit packed on a Thursday at 2pm. The food was pretty good and the older lady attending us was super nice. Felt like our mom or grandma was attending us lol love that personal touch. The bread they gave was a bit hard and the avichuelas lacked a bit of flavor but everything else was great. What John Hurtado doesn't like about Mangu Cafe:
How sad. Original Dominican owners sold the restaurant. Now there is some Cuban man. And he is rude. He asked him how long since new owners, he got upset. Saying he is the original owner. And then he wanted to over charge me. 1 lunch plate and 1 bottle of water $30. Last time I go there. View all feedback.
From New York and this reminds me of home. so good.
The food was delicious. I give them a 5 stars. Yummy breakfast !
The best authentic Dominican food I’ve had in a Miami. I ordered “Albóndiga, Moro de Guandules, plantains, and avocado”. Although it was busy around lunch time, the service was phenomenal. I was quickly greeted by server and a staff in the kitchen area who was serving food. I look forward to coming back to try their Dominican cake and sancocho.
We ate tail, cod and tripe I felt like I was taken directly back to my homeland, the Dominican Republic. The service was excellent Everything looks very clean The music very consistent with the theme Recommended thousand percent I'll be back
This is one of the restaurants where you can eat Dominican food I really loved.
