I don't know what the other reviews are talking about probably people who can't stand change. Nibbelungen is a terrific addition to the town. Great home cooked breakfast, and the staff is all VERY friendly. View all feedback.

The food was the highlight of my visit. They serve delicious breakfast and lunch plates, and I personally couldn't get enough of the biscuits and gravy. The dining area is small but spotless, and the service is quick and friendly.

This is my top choice for dining in the area. The breakfasts here are fantastic! The homemade food is delicious.
Then shaved processed meat on the special sandwich and not much of it along with a rude cook
Stopped in Hessel one afternoon hungry and in need of a few things. Grabbed a quick sandwich which was great and made quickly to order. Even though store is smallish they had all the items I needed. Staff was friendly store and dining area were spotless. Left full and with all needed items!

This restaurant used to be excellent, offering delicious food and friendly service. However, since the change in ownership, the experience has diminished. While it's still convenient for buying items, the current owners seem lacking in enthusiasm for their business.
