There are a few places in Borehamwood where you can get a breakfast but nothing quite like this. Service is polite and efficient. Previous reviews have mentioned price but you get fresh, quality produce cooked in a full view open kitchen. The portions are generous and the food is very tasty. There are some unusual breakfast combinations and the omelettes are wonderful. I have been a regular here now for almost a year... View all feedback.
What readie35 doesn't like about Tudor Diner:
I used to enjoy coming here for breakfast! The cafe was always busy on Sunday mornings. However, when I visited this morning, it was empty. I wanted to have breakfast, but they had signs posted everywhere stating a minimum card payment of £15! Their breakfasts usually cost around £8-10. Since I didn't have cash on me, I decided to leave and go to another nearby cafe that didn't have the £15 restriction. It's 2023, an... View all feedback.
My husband and I frequently have breakfast or lunch at this restaurant on Saturdays and we always have a great experience. The service is attentive, the staff is friendly, and the food is very good - always fresh and tasty with a good selection on the menu. The restaurant is consistently clean and tidy. The servers are exceptionally helpful and chatty, and they even anticipate our preferences now. We once had to go somewhere else when they closed for Covid and it was a disaster.
The Tudor has just had a make over.... great bi folding doors at the front of the property. Great improvement. The food is excellent, always hot, well presented and delicious. Staff are friendly sometimes a bit quick to take your plates/cups away.

Three of us popped in for cafe style lunch as we were local and school holidays meant local restaurants were quite busy. Service excellent and premises clean. It’s in a small parade of shops in not the best side of town. We were hungry, so stopped there, however I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans, and it cost £8.50 which I think is really overpriced and didn’t realise. It came with a fresh small salad. Turns out the price is £3.50 for a plain jacket, each added filling an extra £2.50. Come on! Not one of the three of us realised, so although it does say it on menu, it’s not obvious. I felt ripped off and wont be returning. I get exactly the same jacket, with fresh salad and both fillings in other cafes, less than a mile away, in a more pleasant position for no more than £5.50! You’ve lost me Tudor Café
We go there quite often, staff are always very friendly, food is unpretentious, with good size helpings, tasty and good value for money. Highly recommended
