Feedback
The Alpine restaurant, a cherished establishment for decades, is facing closure and eliciting mixed sentiments from patrons. While some diners recount disheartening experiences marked by poor service and prolonged waits, others reflect on fond memories of welcoming staff and delightful Italian cuisine. Many lament the impending loss, highlighting the restaurant's history of exceptional food combined with attentive service. A recent visit revealed generous portions, celebrating the chef’s inventive approach to traditional dishes. Despite the growing challenges, the Alpine remains a beloved local gem whose imminent departure leaves a bittersweet taste for loyal patrons.
I regret to inform you that this restaurant was closing down over the weekend when we visited. The property, including the building and land, was being sold to developers. It's a pity because we have been dining here for 25 years and have only positive things to say about the food and service.
The evening was well-organized with a great selection of dishes and a pleasant atmosphere.
A wait for one a halve hour before the main course to arrive is to long. The food is ok but nothing special. I got one bottle of wine on the house for waiting that long. That was good a nice gesture. But sorry I can't recommend the restaurant and I would not visit the restaurant any more. My home cooking is far better. The staff is very nice I feel sorry for them because they can't help the slow kitchen. A table for 10 people is something the kitchen can'tdeal with.
Great meal, Good atmosphere, good service, just a shame its closing its doors forever!
I haven't got the time energy or inclination to go through one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever endured Unless you like being either ignored or otherwise having the managers being rude from start to dismal end and have several hours to wait for your order once they eventually take it, I would advise everyone to give the Alpine a very wide berth
