What Steve W doesn't like about Studio Cafe:
This morning I went to the café for breakfast, assuming they opened at 7 am based on the sign outside. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was informed that they did not start serving until 8 am. They should update their sign. I ended up having to find another café to eat at. View all feedback.
Although it may be challenging to locate this restaurant along one of the many roads leading to the studios, it is a hidden gem. We visited during a quiet time, but I imagine it could get quite busy during breaks in filming. We ordered the full English breakfast, which was served promptly. The only issue we encountered was finding parking spots near the restaurant in the mid-morning.
I used to frequent this restaurant often when I worked in the area. It was a great spot for lunch, with large tables that could accommodate groups. While prices have increased since my last visit, the portion sizes remain very generous. The only drawback is that if you go with a large group, there could be a long wait between the first person getting their food and the last. However, you can be assured that the food is fresh. (Visited on 10/07/2015 for lunch)
This restaurant is excellent at what it does. The food is consistently delicious and is perfect for a lunchtime meal or a quick bite to eat when you're hungry. Today, my coworkers and I ordered a variety of items including paninis, baguettes, burgers, and chilli con carne. Everyone raved about how tasty their meals were. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. For example, a sausage and cheese baguette (a substantial size, not a small one) was £3.50. The service is fast and efficient, so you don't have to worry about rushing through your meal. You can also dine in if you prefer, and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. This restaurant has quickly become a favorite lunch spot for everyone in our office!
More than just a café...the Studio Café has been building its reputation over the last few years for excellent ,freshly prepared food with an Italian Flavour! Situated in what was once part of Elstree film studios but now just offices. The word has spread and most lunchtimes its packed! Try the home cooked pasta's and Pizza's. Salad's with generous helpings will satisfy many a hungry worker...
I have been here on a few occasions, whether it was to get a sausage roll to take away or sitting down to a breakfast. the staff are always friendly and will have a laugh and joke with you too. The breakfasts are of a good portion and even happy to substitute items on the menu when I ask.
