It was crowded, whi... read more This was my first experience at this establishment. After searching the map for a place to eat healthy in Herstal, I stumbled upon Bar Code. It was crowded, which is usually a good sign. The beautiful terrace had a lot of tables, although it was a bit noisy being on the street, it was still lovely in good weather. I wanted to dine on the terrace, but it was full, so I had to settle for a table inside. The interior was nice and well air-conditioned. The kitchen seemed to be busy, with only one lady serving in the dining area. There was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. I enjoyed a small glass of soft white wine and 2 sandwiches – one Venetian and one raw tuna. The ingredients were fresh and the sandwiches were full of flavor. The only slight downside was that the same gloves were used for making sandwiches and handling the payment machine. However, I will definitely be returning. Well done.

The owner is on site by 8:30 a.m. to ensure prompt service during lunch hours.
