UNION CANAL HOUSE - Hershey

Visited this place last night by CT during the stay in Hershey. Had the place all to us, but was warmly welcomed by the owner Deborah and had a really friendly and attentive waitress. Honey garlic butter for dinner rolls was divine! My husband chose the duck as one of his favorites and not often seen in a menu. He said it was best he ever had it! I had the chicken piccata, which was also delicious, but needs more sauce to go with it. We shared Deborah's amazing peanut butter cake... do you share the recipe?? Then Deborah gave us a lively tour through the underground tunnel and history on the square. All in all, it was a perfect evening and we will definitely be back in the area. Union channel looks like a bar where you can find locals hanging out. Then sit to eat and realize that this place is something really special. And then you have the steak. Gentlemen, their steaks are the best of all time.

Was introduced to this restaurant a year ago and when it came time to celebrate New Years Eve, this is where we chose to go. What a great meal! We've always been impressed here, but last night they outdid themselves. Can't say enough good things about our evening. Our server (Linda was very attentive and helped make our evening great, and the food, it was out of this world. Each course was different and delicious. Have to say this was as good as it gets and the best New Years dinner we've experienced in years. Thanks all for a memorable close to 2014 and Happy 2015 to all at UCH. :

The Union Canal House's rich history adds to the comfortable setting of this fine restaurant near the beautiful Swatara Creek. Drinks and food are created with great attention to detail. Their steaks are excellent! The staff, chef and owners are all friendly, and work together to create a wonderful dining experience.

We had an excellent time tonight! Food and wine was delicious and recommended by our server. Lobster tail and filet was cooked to perfection. Carianne recommended the Malbec which was just what I needed after a long week! Carianne was so upbeat and I loved her laugh! She made our entire experience memorable and fun! Thank you! Best server I’ve had in a very long time!
