Chuck's Bbq - Herrin

Brisket was very dry! Staff was very friendly. Catfish was ok. Will probably give them a second chance!

Today I had the pulled pork sandwich. Unfortunately, it was dry.

Very good BBQ Ribs! The only reason for the 4 Star rating on them is; because the meat wasn't fall off the bone tender, and THAT'S The necessary component to get a 5 Star rating from me, regarding BBQ Ribs! We aren't knocking Chuck's at all! We went through the drive up window, and it was very busy, which is always a good sign, and they were kind, food was hot, service was great! We'll be back for another try; but we still haven't established a destination, where the meat is so tender, that it falls off the bone, and literally melts in your mouth yet!

I have been going there for a few years now. Back in the day, it was good. Now the service is horrible, usually only 1 waitress working the floor , doing the drive thru, and answering the phones. Talked to the owner, who was not pleasant. Got smart with my 80 yr old uncle because my uncle had asked for something and didn't receive what he has for. My family will definitely not be going back.

This is a peanut-free establishment, that is so important when you or a family member have a severe peanut allergy. There are even signs on the wall saying so, asking that no peanut products be brought into the establishment. It's hard to find safe places to eat when dealing with an allergy, this is the only non-chain place in the area we feel safe to eat at, and I am so thankful for it. The food we ordered was cooked perfectly and all of it tasted very good and was reasonably priced. Everyone with me enjoyed it. The waitress was extremely friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We will definitely return. We ate inside, but there is also a drive thru. With three meals that consisted of a main dish, side, drink, plus two desserts, the total only came to $30 something, which is fast food prices these days.
