El Roble - Herrera de Pisuerga

An excellent local tapas bar. Very good value. Really friendly owner. Delicious tapas. A mix of young and older local customers aged 3-93! Busy with a vibrant atmosphere. Well worth a visit in such a busy area.

Bar Roure is only hard to find as they have the Spanish name sign 'Bar El Roble ' on the building instead of the Catalan name 'Bar Roure ', which may cause confusion. Great food and service and very reasonable. Between 2 of us we had 4 beers and 6 tapas and the bill was 33 euro. Very traditional and authentic with professional long-serving waiting staff.

Stopped at El Roble and ordered a hamburger, which was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Servers were helpful and very polite, which is always greatly appreciated. They serve the burger with a huge side of french fries, which were delicious.

Have a menu of the day at very good price, with a lot of dishes to choose from, a special menu for little more, a letter where there is no lack of milk and other delights. If you go through the blacksmith, don't stop visiting him.
