Wonderful food and service. We ate here several times during our visit to Puebla. The service was excellent, very accommodating with dietary requests, and a relaxed atmosphere. View all feedback.
What François Poirier doesn't like about Gluay Maai Thai:
I paid $38 US for the lowest quality meal I ate on this trip to Mexico. My starter was a Thai salad. 90% of it was glass noodles. There was a small amount of chicken and vegetables in an oily sauce. Nothing like any Thai dish I have ever had and hardly worth eating. I left 90% of it.My main course was muscles in a sauce with pineapple. The muscles were the most chewy I have ever eaten. We found the hotel and the restaurant inside, but were disappointed to see it was no longer a Thai restaurant by the menu on the wall at the entrance. I confirmed with the waiter that it was no longer a Thai restaurant. They now do lots of different things for breakfast and the rest of the menu was mainly burgers and grilled meats. Original Thai cuisine in Puebla. Wide variety of dishes, very tasty and excellent service! We had Yam Woon Sen, Pad Thai and Shrimp Kaprao but the best was the Beef Pad Ki Mao (very spicy!).

The sauce was tasty. The pineapple didn’t fit with the rest of the dish. The house red was fine.I was the only diner at the peak hour on a Saturday night – people are clearly voting with their feet. And I have to agree with them – this was a very poor dining experience for me.
