This is one of the most-fun restaurants I've been to, and it's in a superb location. Our food was delicious and reasonably priced. The view from the restaurant/bar upstairs (try to snag one of the two balcony tables!) was great.I can't imagine why this place got bad reviews (only 13 of them) and is (currently) rated #334 of 490.. maybe the cooking is inconsistent? If you're worried about the food, come here for a beer or some other drink. And some prices seemed under "$$" to me; I can't remember what we paid, but the price was excellent for such good food in a great location.A lot of what I liked was the restaurant theme. Frenchie is a pug (a dog) who's shown on all sorts of photos and paintings jammed along the walls between the gift shop near the entrance -- and especially in the dining area upstairs. (NOTE: The entrance and exit are along different hallways. Don't miss the fun photos along the stairs from the entrance, because you won't see them again.) The signs and captions were in English.Almost everyone we've met in Mexico is friendly and helpful (speaking Spanish is a great idea...). But one of the servers (not ours) outdid everyone... which was especially a surprise in the tourist area of a big city like Puebla. The nicest thing she did for us was to notice me sitting on the stairs from the entrance (I wanted to go back, and she had showed me how to do it). I was trying to take a fun selfie for my friend with one of the photos she liked. It was tough in such a small space. The server came along, took photos, then gave me two buttons with copies of that same print. On the back side of the buttons were mirrors. I guess they sell these clever buttons as souvenirs, but she gave them to me as a gift. After most of a day around the plaza, this was a great find!
