This restaurant was around the corner from our hotel and not to be missed. The murals outside should be seen first. The inside of the restaurant is in an impressive courtyard and has many rooms inside. It is an elegant place with a varied menu. I tried the chicken Mole. The sauce was great but the chicken was overcooked. The other members of our party enjoyed their food and service. View all feedback.
What Mário Fontes doesn't like about Casa de los Munecos:
Excellent service, nice looking place a couple of good dishes. Main course was horrible. I cook, I eat at a lot of restaurants, this was bad. The chef came up with this disaster he had to of tasted it before putting it on the menu. We split the entree this (see pics) my wife had two of them I had two of them. We both agreed horrible. Very good individual items together no no no View all feedback.

I am not a breakfast lover such as my wife but this place is really good. The taste of the dishes is very unique, well served but above all with a very nice flavor. When the dishes are served you can notice the care and love put into every dish. I really recommend this place.
I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Service inpeccable, food delicious and attractively presented, a wonderful open air setting, relaxed fine dining. It's a little hard to find. You have to pass through the entrance to the University Museum and cross an open courtyard to get to the restaurant entrance. I've posted photos of the entry. I went twice to this restaurant, since the menu was extensive and I couldn't think of a better place to go for comida. Both times ordered soup and entree. All 4 unique and delicious.
You cannot notice this place if you are looking for a sign. We were disappointed when did not find the restaurant. Just by sheer chance we found them. The place is nice, located in the downtown but peaceful. Good service, excellent food, original decoration.
Fabulous setting to dine on upscale Mexican cuisine. Very attentive and professional wait staff. Very close to the zocalo
