Description

The dining experience at this restaurant presents a blend of highs and lows. While many patrons rave about the delicious, authentic New Mexican dishes—highlighting favorites like beef red enchiladas and carne adovada—others express frustration over slow service, incorrect orders, and issues with food quality, including undercooked and bland items. Friendly staff are noted, yet there are complaints about inattentive service and management priorities. Despite the atmosphere being welcoming and comfortable, inconsistencies in food preparation and delivery reveal a need for better operational management. Overall, while some visitors leave satisfied, others may reconsider returning based on recent experiences.

This is the best mom and pop restaurant in New Mexico. The staff was amazing and the owner gladly welcomed us as we were at the table. The food is truly authentic New Mexican food ! The pizza was the take home dessert . ????. The signage speaks for itself. Must try . Check it out peeps . No disappointments during my visit. ????

Always a great stop for a good meal. The service is friendly, the food comes quickly and is traditional homemade New Mexican. Even the owner comes out and checks to see how you are doing and if the food is to your satisfaction. I enjoyed some chips andsalsa, a breakfast burrito with chicarrones, smothered Christmas style and a sopapilla with honey to finish off with. Everythingwas delicious and kept me stuffed all day! Definitely stop by when in the area, you won?t be disappointed.

There menu online is completely wrong and we definitely overpaid for what I received. The online menu said the shrimp plate came with a salad, veggie of the day, and choice of fries, mashed potatoes, or bake potato. They didn't have mashed potatoes or bakedpotatoes and I was fine with that, but was surprised to receive just shrimp and fries. No veggies, no salad, and no dippingsauce for my fried shrimp! Tasted fine, but definitely left something to be desired. Other meals ordered seem fine.

Had an amazing lunch here while driving through Hernandez on a Thursday. Our group of 5 all had something different and everything was really delicious. Service was super friendly. When we passed by again the following Sunday afternoon, it lookedpacked. If we were local we'd definitely eat here as often as possible.

My service dog and I came here to celebrate. Service animals are ok when it's not busy. Grace was my server and she was incredibly kind and courteous, listened carefully and answered all my questions. I came for dinner but it looks like I'm spending a lot more time here to try the whole menu. Got the steak picado and it was the classiest fajitas ever. I dressed it up like with Guac, Sour Cream, and Pico. They did a kids ground beef cup for my service dog too and we really appreciated it. The sweet tea was literally the most perfect cup of sweet tea with the cleanest water. There was ample parking for my Class 5 Snapon Truck and they are close enough and prices fairly so there is no reason to eat fast food in Rio Arriba county. They should close all the junk food places with high quality amazing food like this down the road. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
