Moody Lagoon At Benguela Cove

Truly one of the most beautiful wine farms of the Cape! Had a lovely day playing golf with the kids on Friday at the new Pirate Golf venue then ended the day with a fabulous glass of wine, cheese and charcuterie platter with live music while the kids played outside thanks for having us Benguela Cove, we’ll be back real soon!!

An Outstanding venue. The general location is magnificent. All the staff were exceptionally friendly polite and extremely knowledgeable. The food was to die for. What a treat!!!

This was such a delightful find!! Went in not expecting too much and ..wow..what a fab place.! Firstly it is on the estuary and has wonderful views across the water to the sea. It is also very upmarket with lovely comfy loungers and chairs on the terrace. There is also a first class restaurant with a very good menu. The platters are excellent and extremely good value. Wine great. They also opened a new crazy golf course which is really quirky and lovely for the whole family So pleased to find it.

We had a lovely lunch celebrating birthdays. It’s a beautiful location and the staff were top notch always ready to help with a smile. The food was excellent and amazing flavours. As this is fine dining I don’t think anybody with a very healthy appetite will leave feeling satisfied but we were ok. We would like to try the breakfast and weekday lunches or suppers as I think the set lunch menu is only on Sundays. Thank you Benguela Cove for a lovely afternoon. Only one negative....smoking was allowed at the outside tables. Smell of cigarette smoke could be smelt if one sat close enough to the doors leading outside.

We had a superb lunch to be honest one of the best I have had in years. What a talented chef Annie Badenhorst!!! The flavor combinations were superb. The service excellent, setting spectacular, and Jack the somilier extremely knowledgeable. We did wine tasting before lunch and that too was a great experience. The only complaint I would have is that when we went back to the wine sales after lunch to purchase a few of the excellent wines they had no card facilities so I am afraid we left there empty handed. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this though
