A very special experience in a beautiful setting. We had groot for lunch which was extremely well prepared. Friendly staff. I had the privilege of meeting the owner, Catherine and enjoyed the history of the Spookhuis.
Tranquil setting, been here twice in the space of a month. Going back soon again. Food is great. Sit outside on the patio, On top of the balcony or by the lagoon. Treat yourself
We had our wedding here in 2016 and rented out the entire venue for the weekend, which was simply fantastic. Our friends and family came from around the globe, and they all said it was the best wedding they had ever attended! The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially since we coordinated so much from Britain before our arrival. I'm reminiscing about our special day as I pass along the venue details to a friend.
Visited out of curiosity why a cafe would be on the lakeside along the dirt road what a sủprise! The imposing Spookhuis with elegant library rooms for coffee and the upstairs venue for conferences etc. The receptionist was so welcoming too. The beautiful self catering lodges will be a great escape! Beautiful setting.
The restaurant is situated in a stunning location beneath a canopy of old milkwood trees and right by the lagoon. The service is warm and welcoming, and the dishes are beautifully presented, paired with an excellent selection of local wines. The charming deli offers a variety of local specialties, including cheeses, sausages, and other delights.
