This cafe is an old fashioned greasy spoon in the best meaning of the term. If you are looking for sophistication you are in the wrong place. It is a small, one roomed cafe which seemed to cater for a majority of local customers (always a good sign), I was given a warm welcome by Dot, the proprietress and master of all trades. I opted for the big breakfast. It consisted of bacon x2, sausage x2, black pudding x3, mush... View all feedback.

Great value, friendly staff and clientele. We re visited a couple of days later when passing through. Dogs, walkers, cyclists all welcome. Is wuite cosy, but well worth going.
Wasn't really expecting that much from this small café as it is off the main shopping area but boy was I surprised. The menu is varied and the prices reasonably as well as good service but the food is second to none. I had the chicken Caesar salad and I can honestly say it is the best Caesar salad I have ever eaten and there was plenty of it.My husband had the tuna melt sandwich and a portion of chips and he was stuffed after it. We will definitely be back
My little boy loves the food at the regency, it is all cooked on site and big portions. Friendly staff, will be back
A smallish cafe serving a range of food from sandwiches and cake through to all day breakfasts and other meals such as fish and chips and pie and chips. Friendly staff with efficient serving (although as all food is prepared to order, allow time for that). Good strong coffee; the fish, chips and peas were excellent with large portions. Seems to be a hub for locals we were included in conversations and wished a very convivial day on our exit.
Came across The Regency whilst looking for a place to have lunch. Fantastic greeting upon entry which is very important to me. Good selection to chose from and the lunch did not disappoint. well worth a visit if in the city.
