I absolutely adore this charming Deli, and the Mocha made with real chocolate is simply fantastic. The carrot cake is also delicious! Even though I currently reside in London, whenever I am back in Hereford, this place is always at the top of my list. Do yourself a favor and choose this cozy spot over the chain coffee shops. What 639cyndim doesn't like about The Hereford Deli:
Called in to get some lunch and it looked and smelt loverly. As a vegatarian not a vegan I enquired about the ingredients in the scotch egg. I was shocked to hear they contained parmasan cheese. Well parmasan cheese is definitely not suitable for vegetarians. And yes you can get vegatarian options they are not allowed to be called parmasan as parmasan cheese must contain calfs rennet to be called parmasan. Also meat... View all feedback.
I've been to the Hereford Deli a few times now and haven't got any complaints. They have a great variety of interesting sandwiches made on homemade bread. The staff are really nice and passionate about what they do. Their coffee is very good too!
Thiis is the best place in Hereford for Sandwiches, wraps, pies and cake. All are scrummy and very resonably priced. The hot choclate is to die for. You will never want to go anywhere else if you fancy a outstanding choclate. They also so sell the unusual little food items that make a high tea special.
The Hereford Deli is the most amazing little deli in town. Their coffee is fabulous, the hot chocolate is amongst the best I have ever tasted (tip go for a double scoop if you are a real chocoholic! Liz and her team are really friendly, and Liz is really passionate about food. Whatever you pick for lunch a well filled sandwich made with delicious local bread, or a homemade hearty soup you can not go wrong. As many ingredients as possible are sourced locally, and Liz is so knowledgeable about where they have come from. And it is not overpriced. If you are looking for a great place for a light lunch, this is the place for you. And while you are in there, or can pick up something for dinner! One tip phone your lunch order in early, as they get very busy over the lunch period and the wait can be long. That gets expensive, as there are so many lovely and unusual products that while you are waiting in the queue, you will have bought something else!Another tip if you are stuck for gift ideas for any occasion, pop along. Liz will make up a hamper of local produce to whatever value you want, or there are delicious hand made chocolates.
Having recently moved To Shropshire, my husband and I decided to visit Hereford, after wasting some dull hours in the town itself ... we did not expect to come across this hidden gem. Tucked away and seculated Hereford Deli is a breath of fresh air. The food was delicious; all on fresh bread with homemade filling. It is clear they take pride and care in what they do. The cafe is lovely with a light bubbly atmosphere and jazz blasting out which we loved. To top it off if you ever do go ... Their hot chocolate is nothing to be compared to best I have had in a long time. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Hereford to come here. It was in all honesty the highlight of our trip. Going to be returning incredibly soon and can't believe I haven't been before!
If you are looking for somewhere to have a great sandwich, homemade soup or just a really good coffee-this is the place in Hereford. Not only do they source as much as possible from local producers but they are so keen to tell you about what they have and get you to try it.We had a bite there on Monday and my wife said that they sandwich she had was the best she had ever eaten-which probably means it's at least worth a look for anyone-she is pretty picky. For myself I go there regularly for what I think is one of the best lattes I have tasted and for the foodie atmosphere. Try it out-a cup of coffee isn't going to break the bank even in these hard times!
