We have dined at the Humming Gardens before and found it to be beautiful. This time, we decided to have a proper "Date Night" and booked a table at the restaurant. What Ohnonotbarbie doesn't like about Hum-ming Garden:
This is the third time I have eaten here. I returned as the meals previously were good. This time we are from the buffet menu which was a mistake. Crispy duck starter came ready shredded and was 75% lettuce base. The mains were filled out with onions snd veg. Also beware that a lot of favourites are not on the buffet menu. Had a dine in meal last night with a friend as belated birthday meal plus a meal for my wife's birthday. Buffet menu was the order of day, brilliant to choose from so many choices, and try a bit of each.
Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend a visit.
Visited on a Friday evening. Having young urchins with us we arrived early. Withing 20 mins of opening the place was filling up. Fantastic friendly service from the moment we arrived. Not had one of these all you can eat buffets before and I must say it is so much nicer than queuing with 'the public ' to get to trays if food. Ordered some starters and we were encouraged to order more things to try. The crab claws weren 't very good but the rest was banging! The kids ate about 4 portions of rubs, they were very good. We all ordered mains and sides and again when we were half way through those we were asked if we wanted to order anything else. We ordered some more mains and sides. The noodles were amazing. It was all really really good food. Fresh and really tasty. Table of 4, lots to eat, drinks and a takeaway for 2 came to less than £20 per head. Will definitely be back.
Was expecting a lovely Chinese after reading the 5* reviews, got home and it was absolutely tasteless, hardly no chips, chicken fried rice was egg fried rice instead and beef chow mein was more like noodles with vegetables on top no sauce, our ribs was all bone covered in a little bit of meat. Absolutely mortified.
Had a lovely time here for a birthday service was very quick and food was very good
