Called in with a friend for the Sunday carvery. This is about the third 'restaurant ' I 've been to recently where they try to pass off deep fried boiled potatoes as roast potatoes. They look like large chips and taste the same. I suppose it 's ok if you 're producing vegan potatoes but they must think people are daft if they think these resemble a delicious, roast in meat fat and juices, flavourful roast potato. Sha... The view from the terrace was beautiful. We had some trouble with the ordering app, but our waitress Chloe helped us out and our food arrived smoothly. Moving to the fire pit after our meal was a nice touch. Despite limited options due to current restrictions, the food menu was more than enough and quite delicious. Thank you to the entire team for their hospitality.
Dan is an amazing bouncer at this restaurant, he is truly the best! He deserves a raise, he is so kind and lovely. Thank you Dan, you are brilliant!
Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. The food was quite appalling - the fish and chips had thick, undercooked batter, the chips seemed to be cheap frozen ones that arrived lukewarm, and the peas looked unappetizingly dry and wrinkled. To make matters worse, we were charged extra for ketchup and mayo. It was a disappointing meal overall. If you're looking for a nice place to enjoy a beer in the sun, this restaurant might be a good choice. But I would strongly advise against trying their food. It's a shame that our first meal post-lockdown was such a letdown.
Been here a few times, foods ok, location is nice.Booked in advance a table for two. On arrival we checked in and the lady controlling the guests was very friendly sorted a table.Just as we were about to go to sit down, a most obnoxious man, arrived at the check in desk, he bluntly announced there were no tables, we would have to wait one and a half hours for a table. Being quite taken aback, said but we booked a table! Instead of being understanding, he went on to say and we won 't even take your order for at least one and a half hours and then you will have to wait for your food. He had no sympathy, no empathy, just bluntness bordering on rude.I have never had a booking treated with contempt like this before. The place was heaving, I don 't know but it appeared casual guests had gone in for a drink then ordered food.Having eaten there before, I found the experience far from satisfactory. I tried once more to explain we had booked a table, his response again fairly blunt, I 'm not going to lie to you, these are the wait times
This place is set in a Fantastic Location, It overlooks the river and has great ambiance and amazing views.
