I was staying in a Bnb nearby and needed an evening meal. Reviews suggested it was a bit hit and miss but I must say I was very impressed. Mixed kebab meats and chips. All hot, tasty and loads of it. Maybe they had a...bit of a quality dip in the past. Maybe they just had some bad reviews from people that did not like them but I was very impressed and if this is their new normal than all good. What PHIL SIMON doesn't like about Costas Atlantic Fish And Kebab:
Food never very hot, miserable staff who obviously would rather be somewhere else. Other local places are much better and have a better choice. Also closes early so if you go after 6.30 you are left with very little selection. View all feedback.
What a difference to my last visit. Hot fresh food served by a very pleasant young man. Chips were cooked to perfection and David Attenborough would think they had been Whale hunting the fish was so big. Really enjoyed my meal.
I think being next door to an undertakers is rubbing off. Dower and painfully awkward customer service approach being served by lurch, monosyllabic who embalmed my order with salt and the scantest fly over of vinegar. If your hungry and need food in a hurry...Tesco or coop are near by.
Thank you so much to Costa and his staff for the service! Lovely service and amazing fish and chips! Definetly reccomend and will be back very soon!
Rang with order, ready dead on time, very polite and friendly service with very professional set up with social distancing. Would definitely recommend, very tasty !
I dived into this chippy last week when I went to work. very hungry, so begrudgingly swallowed the £6 price tag for primer meat and chips. Not an unusual price in wealthy areas I know, but more than I am used to paying....The facility was clean and well presented and fair to be the chips were nice. the kebab meat was however cut too thick, was very dry and tasted a little strange. the thing that covered it was when I got my change of £3,80 from ten pfund and asked it, said the slightly embarrassing coworker, it is extra for sauce. this can be because I had chili and mayonnaise, but if she did the thing that it was heavily watered, extra paid, it seems like a bit of a micky take. I will not hurry back!
