very much a local pub in the week, this said very friendly, good selection of drinks, not too expensive and a short walk to the city. next to a parking space with 24 hours parking and a small beer garden from the back, for which the weather is good. there are no food, but the usual bar-snack warps and nuts and a short walk of two chip shops. One of the few pubs left that has not be character assassinated with plastic soulless furnishings and faux warehouse style 'artwork '. Well worth a visit.
I haven't visited the pub myself, but the paid parking nearby is quite affordable and convenient for getting to town.
