This is a classy place on all levels. First it’s nicely decorated in elegant modern, then the staff are attentive and helpful the young woman who served us even spoke English perfectly. The complimentary bread basket is delicious especially the cornbread. We shared a tasty shrimp and fish cake starter. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak which arrived still sizzling on a hot stone. My salmon was very enjoyable se... View all feedback.
This restaurant was not in San Jose (Escazu) the last time we visited about 3 years ago. The exterior and interior decorations are elegant, classy, and well-executed. The menu is unique, fresh, and creative. We started with the Ceviche and Gyoza with octopus and shrimp, which was absolutely delicious. The Ceviche was fresh and light, and the presentation was excellent. The sauces were fantastic. My wife had the Fish of the Day, which was Corvina (a type of sea bass) served with a light lemon butter sauce and beautifully plated. My daughter had the perfectly cooked octopus, flambeed at the table. The presentation was remarkable. I had the seared tuna with teriyaki sauce, which was wonderful. For dessert, we had a Passion Pavlova, which was a deconstructed version with perfectly done passion fruit, meringue, and rum-soaked pineapple. The price of the meal was surprisingly mid-range for the exceptional taste, presentation, and atmosphere.
We had the pleasure of being served by Raquel, who was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to walk us through the menu and drinks, spoke excellent English, and had a cheerful demeanor. When our food arrived, we were impressed by the presentation, taste, and textures - everything was perfection. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience - everything was exceptional.
The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was stylish yet still cozy enough for our two small children. The prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants, but the value we received was outstanding. After spending two months in Costa Rica, this was by far the best restaurant we visited. When we decided to return for a second night, the manager graciously opened the kitchen an hour early and prepared a special dessert for us. This dining experience is a must when in San Jose.
What a good restaurant! Loved the menu and loved the plates we had... they were so good that we kept on ordering and ordering trying to see if we could taste the whole menu. The carpacio, the meat, the octopuss! Really really really good, very nice design and very good service. I wanna go back very soon. If I would live closer i would be their best customer.
I ordered the ravioles and they were totally overcooked and sloppy. The sauce was tasteless as well. Awful. What saved it was the appetizer. That was average.
